L.A. is a spot that I continue to haunt...
this time we arrived early and dug in at Venice Beach a few days,
sushi, walk along the surf, rehearse,
see some friends play in Hollywood a few nights before,
then, on a perfect evening, head to our own show,
enjoy the conversation with friends new and old,
and give it all for rock n roll.
And when it couldn't get much sweeter,
people I admire arrived to the party:
Jack White, Josh Homme, Alison Mosshart, Nick Olivieri,
among others, brought 500% up to 10K% as we neared dawn,
singing songs off the jukebox,
best David Lee Roth impressions / air guitar / Budweiser

til the southern California cows done come home.
